3 Opening hours and location for the Parliamentary elections on 15 March

Voor de verkiezingen van de leden van de Tweede Kamer der Staten Generaal zal het briefstembureau op de ambassade geopend zijn op 15 maart van 09.00-15.00. Na 15.00 kan er niet meer gestemd worden en zal uw briefstem niet meer worden meegeteld. U kunt terecht bij het briefstembureau via de receptie van de ambassade.

4 Relocation of the Visa Applications Center

The Embassy would like to inform you that VFS is relocating the Visa Applications Center for the Netherlands to their office in Zamalek.

5 Agri & food exports achieve record high in 2016

The Dutch agri & food sector has further strengthened its leading position in the world market. In 2016, Agri & Food exports totalled almost 94 billion euros, compared to 90 billion in 2015. Agricultural products accounted for 85 billion euros and agricultural materials, knowledge and technology accounted for 9 billion: a new record.

7 More than 5000 cyclists participate in 5th Orange Bike Day

The Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt organized the 5th Orange Bike Day on 18 November. More than 5000 cyclists participated in this year’s edition, which sought to raise awareness for the importance of sustainability and sustainable business. Orange Bike Day 2016 was organized with the support of Egypt’s Global Biking Initiative, and used the slogan: Orange is the new Green.

8 Consular section closed 27-29 December 2016

Dear customer, The consular section will be closed on 27, 28 and 29 December. Documents and passports can be collected on these three days between 08.00-09.00.

9 Embassy closed 10 November

The Embassy (including the consular section) is closed on Thursday 10 November. The Embassy will be open again on Sunday 13 November as normal.

10 Orange Bike Day 2016

On Friday 18 November 2016, the Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt will organize the 5th annual Orange Bike Day. This year’s event focuses on sustainability and sustainable business, and goes with the slogan: Orange is the new Green.
